10th October 2024
Dear Parent/ Guardian,
All of our pupils at Dance Capital are making fantastic progress and to nurture this progress we are excited to announce that we are holding our second Progress Awards on Sunday 8th December.
Our previous Progress Awards took place in May but we feel December is a more suitable time this term due to our summer show taking place next year.
Please note, participating in the Progress Awards is not compulsory however, it is a great way of rewarding hard work and assessing a child’s progress as part of their dance classes.
When?
SUNDAY 8th DECEMBER 2024
Between 1PM and 5PM (exact timetable will be confirmed once we know how many pupils we have attending)
Where?
Stepps Parish Church, 17 Whitehall Avenue, Stepps, G33 6BL
What happens at the Progress Awards?
You will arrive with your child at the given time slot (TBC) in FULL UNIFORM. All children will be allocated a group and will have time to practise before demonstrating their work in front of the adjudicator in the big hall. Each group will enter the big hall with the class assistant and perform their routine or exercises. An experienced adjudicator will write up a Progress Report for each pupil. Once pupils have finished they are free to leave with their parent. Due to space limitations just one parent remains in the small hall during the allocated time slot.
What happens after the Progress Awards?
On successful completion of the Award, every child will be presented with their report, a certificate and a trophy at our presentation on either Thursday 19th December (Chryston classes) or Saturday 21st December (Stepps classes).
