Terms and Conditions 2026
TRIAL CLASS
All new pupils are entitled to one trial class only. This allows the student to experience the class before committing to a full subscription.
REGISTRATION & MONTHLY PAYMENTS
Registration Fee: Upon enrolling after a trial class, a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of £10 is required to secure your child’s place. This fee is due at the point of official sign-up.
Payment Method: Dance Capital collects all class fees via an automated monthly subscription. Card details are entered once, and payments are processed on the 1st of every month in advance of lessons.
• Absences: Class fees are required regardless of absence.
• Catch-up Lessons: If a child misses a lesson, they are welcome to attend a catch-up session at one of our other branches. Please email the office to arrange this.
TERMS & DATES
Classes are split into six terms.
• Term 6: This is our shortest term; monthly payments for this period will be adjusted accordingly.
• Summer Break: Payments are paused during July. No payment is taken this month, and subscriptions resume on 1st August for the new academic year.
• Mid-Term Joiners: If you join halfway through a term, you will only be charged for the remaining classes in that term via our online system.
• Dates: Full term dates can be found at dancecapital.co.uk/term-dates/
MISSED PAYMENTS
Unsuccessful payments will be automatically re-attempted on the 3rd day following the failure. If the balance remains unpaid by the 7th day, your subscription and your child’s place in the class will be automatically cancelled.
DISCOUNTS & SUBSCRIPTIONS
• Siblings Discount: A 10% discount is applied to all additional siblings enrolled.
• Annual Adjustments: At the start of the new academic year (August), students may move up to a higher level. This may result in a slight increase in your monthly subscription; parents will be fully informed of any changes to billing in advance.
CANCELLATION & TERMINATION
• Notice Period: We require 4 weeks' written notice to cancel a child’s place. Failure to provide this notice will result in a final charge for the 4-week period.
• Right to Terminate: Dance Capital reserves the right to terminate a child’s place at any time if deemed necessary by management.
UNIFORM & ETIQUETTE
• Uniform: Class uniform is compulsory. Please consult the class teacher for sizing assistance. Hair must be tied back neatly, and no jewellery is permitted.
• Etiquette: Mobile phones must be on silent. All teachers should be addressed formally (e.g., Miss Susan).
• Lost Property: Please label all items. While we assist in finding lost items, all property is left at the owner's risk. Dance Capital is not liable for lost or damaged belongings.
ATTENDANCE & SAFETY
• Drop off/Collection: All children must be dropped off and collected by an adult. Please inform the teacher if someone different is collecting your child.
• Medical/Sickness: Parents must update us on any new medical conditions or injuries. If a child is sick, please notify us via email.
• Staffing: All teachers hold current PVG checks and First Aid certification. Class assistants are present to support general duties and chaperone younger children.
PERFORMANCE & EXAMS
• Shows: Participation is optional but encouraged for confidence and teamwork. Costume and rehearsal fees are due in advance and are non-refundable.
• Exams: Progress awards and exams are available from Primary 1 at the teacher’s discretion. Fees are due in advance and are non-refundable.
DATA & PRIVACY
• Privacy: We hold customer data (via the Class For Kids system) solely for business and educational purposes. We do not disclose information to third parties unless required by law.
• Image Use: With your consent, students may be photographed for social media and marketing.
